We rarely get a sign as interesting as this one!
It's an untreated oak double finger post which marked where the South Downs Way crossed the Meridian Line above the village of Rodmell, East Sussex. You can find out more about the sign on The Greenwich Meridian website.
Fingers read “Western Hemisphere” and “Eastern Hemisphere”. The post has “Meridian Line” routed into it on one side.
Size is 1.75m tall by 0.95m wide.
